Your Child Doesn't Need Another Activity.

They need something that changes how they respond to challenge.

Most children today are surrounded by comfort. Screens. Short attention spans. Quick wins. Easy distractions.

Jiu Jitsu gives them something different — a place where they learn how to stay calm when something feels hard. How to solve problems. How to keep going when they don't get it right the first time.

And slowly, something changes. They begin to realise they can do difficult things.

That belief matters. It follows them everywhere.

Problem-Solving Under Pressure.

Unlike sports that depend on size or natural athleticism, Jiu Jitsu rewards patience, technique, and persistence. That makes it especially powerful for children.

Focus
They learn to stay present and follow instructions when it matters. Not just when it's easy.
Resilience
They learn to work through frustration and keep going when something takes time to click.
Calm Under Pressure
They learn that feeling uncomfortable doesn't mean stopping. That's a skill most adults don't have.
Coordination
They develop body awareness, movement, and physical confidence through real, progressive training.
Respect
For coaches, partners, and for themselves. The dojo builds character through structure and repetition.
Real Confidence
Not the kind that comes from being told they're amazing. The kind that comes from trying, struggling, and improving.

This isn't confidence from being told "you're amazing."
It's confidence from realising: "I can handle this."

This Class Is For Children Who Need:

  • More confidence
  • Better focus
  • A positive physical outlet
  • Less screen time
  • More resilience
  • A structured challenge
  • A place to belong
Your child does not need to be naturally sporty. They do not need previous martial arts experience.

They just need to show up and be willing to try. We'll guide them from there.

What Happens In The First Session

01
A Warm Welcome
They'll be met, introduced to the coach, and made to feel part of the group from the moment they walk in.
02
Step by Step
They won't be thrown in at the deep end. The class moves at a pace that keeps them engaged and clear on what to do next.
03
Real Training
Basic movements, simple techniques, and how to work safely with a partner. Real Jiu Jitsu — just adapted for beginners.
04
The Moment
At some point, they'll probably surprise themselves. That's the moment we're looking for — because it's where something important begins.
Children's Jiu Jitsu training at CDMA

When a child realises they can do something they thought they couldn't, something changes.

That's what we're building in every session.

We Know What You're Thinking.

Most of the children who come through our door were nervous before their first class. That's completely normal — and it's exactly what we're prepared for.

"What if my child is nervous?"
That's the most common thing parents tell us. The first session is designed to reduce uncertainty and make the experience feel clear, safe, and welcoming. They don't need to arrive confident. That's what the training helps build.
"What if they're not sporty?"
Jiu Jitsu rewards patience and persistence more than natural ability. Some of the best students are children who weren't "sporty." They just needed the right environment.
"Is it safe?"
Yes. Classes are structured, supervised, and focused on control, respect, and safe partner work. Children learn how to move and work with others — not how to fight.
"What should they wear?"
Comfortable sports clothing is fine for the first session. No kit required to get started.
